South African Championships 2016

Team Germany spent almost two weeks in South Africa. One week of practise was followed by the South African provincial championships, the South African club championships and a derby between the national teams of Germany, South Africa and Saudi Arabia. With four silver and three gold medals, the German team was quite successful.

The Dutch tentpegging association DVBW St. Georges hosted the annual Interland Tentpegging Competition from 7 to 9 October 2016. Sunshine, white clouds, light wind once more delighted the teams from England, Germany and the Netherlands. England and the Netherlands provided two teams. That made competition much harder for the German team.

The German tentpegging team was at a tournament at Oslo, Norway, from 3 to 5 June 2016. For the German national team the tournament was particularly successful: they achieved several second place finishes (Full Section Lance, Indian File and Half Section Lance) as well as a first place (winner of the overall tournament). Peter Kramer, Christian Dietzel, Mohammad Shafeeq and Mårten Isaksson were part of the team.
